Day 12 – No Sugar

I have gotten several questions about Shakeology having sugar in it since I am on the no sugar journey. As most of you know I am a Beachbody Independent Coach & Shakeology is our top selling product. It is a dense daily superfood in the form of a shake.  There is no added sugar in Shakeology which is what I am steering clear of. There is Stevia & a non-GMO fructose from Australia.

The fructose in Shakeology is from Austria where they were able to find non-GMO fructose, of which works in synergy with the other ingredients. There is no outside testing in our country that takes that into account, they break down each ingredient separately instead. For example, they might say “Shakeology is high in sugar”, when really the way the fructose works in synergy with the other ingredients is why it tests so low on the glycemic index. You cannot pick apart each ingredient, you have to understand the whole product. Incase someone out there is wondering….. what does that mean exactly?!

Synergy is the interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements, contributions, etc.

There are many articles out there on why meal replacements are sugary & bad for you. I will be honest, most of them are. You can not lump Shakeology into a category with everyone else just because it is called a meal replacement. The facts are indisputable. There are over 70….. yes 70 superfood in Shakeology. Oh, and by the way you can stop taking all the extra vitamins & probiotics that you spend $100s on each month. You know the ones you’re already confused about the absorption rates & what not.

This post is about me going sugar free so I will reel it back in here. Shakeology does not have added sugar. So if you are thinking about going on the sugar free journey, you can breath a sigh of relief now! You don’t have to give up your Shakeology!!!
